I've never seen it written anywhere, but that is my observation in myself as well as other people.debbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17967505760808535408noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809397312571864539.post-56899049370760378372012-02-09T11:21:40.244-05:002012-02-09T11:21:40.244-05:00Congratulations on your weight loss. You would have thought I was 102 pounds dripping wet the way some people reacted. Mind you these were mostly people who weighed a good 10 pounds less than I did. I would just look at them like are you kidding me. Don't let those naysayers discourage you. Maybe they are simply jealous that you look so beautiful.Sallyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04213030650947273783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809397312571864539.post-73576079065391861212012-02-04T10:03:32.037-05:002012-02-04T10:03:32.037-05:00I think people losing weight makes those around th...I think people losing weight makes those around them question their own comfort zone. Sort of upsets the status quo at times. For example, I have an aquaintance who has always been the "skinny pretty" one and that is how she sees herself. It is scary to her in an odd way when people around her change. I find I have to be careful around her. On the other hand a life long friend (who truly is both skinny and pretty) encourages me, tries every recipe I find that looks good, etc. The change doesn't upset her in the least.

You look great! Do what you have to do for yourself and eventually others will get used to the "new" you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809397312571864539.post-34562437555197360492012-02-04T00:26:39.019-05:002012-02-04T00:26:39.019-05:00Sometimes I think people are reacting to the way f...Sometimes I think people are reacting to the way faces can look different with significant weight loss. The face is what people see the most, and when there has been a big change in weight, the face often looks dramatically different. Perhaps it can startle people if they haven't seen you in a while. I personally think you look fab, and I recommend you tune out the nay-sayers. Reach your goal, and work to maintain!Aprilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10977305943373966554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809397312571864539.post-54724659754435321452012-02-03T11:51:31.091-05:002012-02-03T11:51:31.091-05:00Sounds like a fun weekend. You've not only "lost"...you've "gained" so much too.
Whatta journey you've had!^..^Corgidogmamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06087352436997512186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809397312571864539.post-80928539960880513632012-02-03T11:46:16.531-05:002012-02-03T11:46:16.531-05:00Wow! I think that people who are our family and friends, have been used to the overweight us and the fact that we have found our niche in our friendships, our work life, as overweight people. When the weight is gone, we look different, we feel different, and we may act somewhat differently from our old overweight selves. That upsets the balance of the relationships in our lives and can throw others off guard. They just need to get used to you as a thin person. Keep up the amazing work! You're doing just great!E. I weighed 146 at 5'1"!!!) - I think it was a combination of two things - first, it takes a while for a weight loss to settle in, and I think I did look a little gaunt, especially in the face and collar bones. Second, some people are so used to the overweight us, that the normal-size person looks too small to them. It is a weird thing to hear, and I know how odd it can make you feel...but just keep doing what's right for you and it'll be fine.Shelleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05890227462052573887noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-809397312571864539.post-67821048929413589152012-02-03T00:14:11.025-05:002012-02-03T00:14:11.025-05:00You will be fine and I dont know why people do tha...You will be fine and I dont know why people do that its not like you look like you have an eating disorder or something. But your 5 4? then you are only 2 lbs away from your max weight (146 lbs) and your min would be 117 lbs. I think you look amazing dont worry about what anyone says. all that matters is how you feel and where you want to be. Keep going strong. Good luck!Kim https://www.blogger.com/profile/07960021098322832553noreply@blogger.com
